What a gorgeous weekend!  We’re kissing 90 degrees right now.  My dogs are tired from playing and are laying around.  I went out on a slow bike ride today.  While working out at Maverick’s yesterday, I slipped on my last deadlift and injured myself.  I haven’t hurt myself like this since 1996 or 1997.  It’s no fun.  My S/I joint is seriously jacked up.  So that made for a very slow bike ride, but it was great to be out enjoying the Contra Costa Canal trail.  I really try to stay off of the roads as much as possible.  There are maps that have the bike lanes on them, but the lanes are few and far between.

Friday afternoon, I fell asleep on the BART train, missed my stop and ended up at the end of the line in Pittsburg.  While it messed up my Friday plans, it allowed me to see the mountain from out there on Highway 4.  The view coming back from that side is amazing.  It it was a mistake worth making.  I hope the weather continues to hold, it’s just been gorgeous in Contra Costa County.
